Curriculum Areas
Living Waters Lutheran School aims
“to provide a Christ-centred education in a caring and diverse community that equips
every child to develop their potential so that
they can shape and enrich their world.”
Curriculum - There are three main curriculum documents that
Living Waters Lutheran School adheres to; CSCF, NTCF and ACARA.
The Christian Studies Curriculum Framework (CSCF) is used by all Lutheran Schools throughout Australia from Transition to Year 12 and is based on an inquiry learning method. The aims are to create quality relationships with self, each other, the environment and God and to grow in spiritual maturity.
The Northern Territory Curriculum Framework (NTCF) is a mandated Curriculum Framework that identifies learning outcomes for all Northern Territory learners from Transition to Year 10.
The Key Learning Areas include; English, Maths, Science, SOSE (Studies of Society & Environment), the Arts, Health & PE, LOTE (Languages Other Than English), Learning Technologies (including Computer Technology and Design/Make/Appraise).

The Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) is progressively developing an Australia wide curriculum that will replace the NTCF. At Living Waters we are currently in the implementation stage of Phase 1 and we will continue to implement each phase as they are rolled out. The Australian Curriculum will provide greater consistency and continuity of education for Year levels F-12 (Foundation to Year 12) in our ever increasing mobile society.
